Child Safety
A safe place for curiosity to grow.
Children learn best when they feel safe to ask, explore, try and try again. At SparkQuest, child safety means more than protecting data — we design for privacy, online safety and psychological wellbeing, so children can learn with confidence.
Three connected dimensions of safety
01
Privacy & Security
Private by design.
Parent-managed family accounts, separate learner access through Spark PIN or Spark Pass, and only the information needed for the learning experience.
02
Online Safety
A learning space, not a social network.
No open learner profiles, stranger contact or uncontrolled social feeds. New features are considered through the same child-safety lens as SparkQuest grows.
03
Psychological Safety
Safe to try. Safe to get it wrong.
Mistakes are part of learning. Breaks aren’t failure, progress is personal, and feedback is designed to encourage another try.

A Safer Kind of Digital Space
What you won’t find in SparkQuest.
No advertising to children.
No public popularity contests, or public leaderboards.
No stranger messaging.
No selling children’s personal information.
No shame for making mistakes.
No dark patterns designed to keep children online.
Because children shouldn’t have to trade their privacy, confidence or wellbeing for an engaging learning experience.
You remain part of the safety circle
Parents manage the family account while learners have their own age-appropriate access. If you have a question or concern about your child’s privacy, safety or information, there’s always a clear way to reach us.
Parent Control
You stay in control.
Parents and guardians manage their learners’ SparkQuest profiles and privacy controls.
- 01
Archive
Reversible. Pause access while keeping learning history.
- 02
Delete learner
Irreversible. Permanently remove one learner’s account and data.
- 03
Delete family account
30-day cooling-off. Request deletion of the whole SparkQuest family account.
You can archive a learner if you want to pause their access while keeping their learning history, permanently delete an individual learner, or request deletion of your entire SparkQuest family account. These choices are deliberately different so that permanent deletion is never confused with simply taking a break.
AI Imagery
AI-generated Explorer imagery.
SparkQuest may use artificial intelligence to create personalised Explorer imagery when that feature is chosen. Information or an image submitted for this purpose may be processed by an AI service provider so that the requested Explorer image can be generated.
We do not use an Explorer image to make legal or similarly significant automated decisions about a learner. Parents and learners should avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal information when using AI-enabled features.
For more information about how personal information is handled, read our Privacy Policy.
